READ CAREFULLY

STARS is a comprehensive and dramatic overhaul of the entire TTW armor suite. It completely rebalances the stats, appearance, and effects of every single armor in the game, fundamentally alters the way power armor functions, and adds a massive collection of the best armor replacers and additions from across the Nexus. READ THE DESCRIPTION on the mod page carefully before proceeding.

This is an EXTREMELY COMPLICATED AND LENGTHY installation process that must be followed precisely to avoid missing textures in the game.

Many plugins and folders will need to be HIDDEN throughout the installation process. This can be accomplished by installing the mod as instructed, right-clicking the mod, clicking information, navigating to the file tree tab, right-clicking on the pertinent plugin or folder, and selecting hide. STARS will provide an alert in-game if any assets are missing or managed incorrectly.

  • Download the Bethesda Archive Extractor from the Fallout 4 Nexus to extract the 1nivVSLArmors.bsa file.
    • Extract the Bethesda Archive Extractor.
    • Navigate to the Spice of Life mod in MO2, right-click it, and click open in explorer.
    • Right-click the 1nivVSLArmors.bsa file, click open with, choose another app, select an app on your PC, navigate to the location where you extracted the Bethesda Archive Extractor folder, select bae.exe, then open with bae.exe.
    • Click the extract button, then ignore the select folder path prompt briefly. DO NOT select a random folder. This step will be completed shortly.
    • Navigate back to your Spice of Life mod folder, click the folder path at the top, and copy the path.
      • Example: C:\Games\Mod.Organizer-2.4.5alpha3\mods\Spice of Life.
    • Navigate back to the select folder path prompt in Bethesda Archive Extractor and paste the Spice of Life path into the prompt, then click select prompt.
    • If done correctly, you will see a brief 1-2 second extraction process run.
    • You can confirm the extraction process was completed by checking your Spice of Life mod folder, where there should now be Meshes and Textures folders.
